This book is about generative scribing, which is a visual practice and an art form, functioning in the moment, across boundaries, as a device for social seeing.[1] The primary value of generative scribing is in-the-moment collective sourcing and reflection. Generative scribing is a social exercise in presence and listening. Taking the shape of the conversation you're in — to bring it from unknown to known.

I love this book. First, generative scribing is a new field. It helps those of us who learn visually. Second, I love the way Kelvy wrote this book. It is following her experience as some who scribes. This book is for everybody who scribes, but also for those, who explore the art of listening. The book is a piece of art in itself. It is fun!
