3.75 because i kinda wished that Kokoro-kun could have had a little bit more depth, it felt a bit superficial due to his main backstory and root of his feelings being his parents love story. I feel like it could be better developed. Still, had a good time and really recommend this one.

Diese Geschichte ist etwas Nettes für Zwischendurch. Aufgrund der geringen Seitenzahl erhalten die Charaktere nicht sehr viel Tiefgang, aber dennoch genug um eine gute Idee von dem zu bekommen, was sie ausmacht - besonders Haiji hat mir diesbezüglich gefallen; über Kokoro lernt man leider recht wenig.
Der Konflikt, der zwischen den beiden durch die kleine Sprachbarriere entsteht, ist gut gemacht und wird am Ende vernünftig von den beiden gelöst, was schön war zu sehen.

This was so cute and wholesome. This follows a man who has come to live in Japan and he meets another man who he instantly befriends. They start as friends and it slowly starts to become obvious that both of them like each other. This was also is about finding out more about your sexuality and more about who you want as your partner. The manga leaves off when they finally admit their feelings for each other and start dating. I just wanted another chapter that would showcase more of their relationship as a couple since they were so cute together.

Den Titel habe ich mir allein wegen der Mangaka gekauft. Allerdings wurde ich dann doch enttäuscht. Die Charaktere waren mir zu blass und es ging alles viel zu schnell. Sie haben sich ineinander verliebt, aber so wirklich kennengelernt haben sie sich nicht. Im Manga bekam ich auch nicht das Gefühl, dass sie sich kennenlernen. Die "spicy" Szenen waren auch nicht meins. Irgendwie hat es sich nie richtig angefühlt und generell war das Storytelling einfach nicht gut.

Fue hermosísimo. Una historia que se desarrolla en un pueblo rural con un chico que trabaja cultivando y cosechando en el campo (Haiji), y otro chico extranjero que se muda a Japón inspirado en vivir una historia de amor (Kokoro).
Tuvo todo lo justo y necesario. No le sobró nada. Además de que el arte es deslumbrante. Por eso se lleva las 5 estrellitas.

SO cute. SO CUTE!
First of all, I don't think I've talked about how much I like Minta's art style. The hair especially. There's just something about it that I really like. It's different and it makes me want to practice using their styles as a reference.
This story is about Kokoro, a half Italian half Japanese man, who moves from Italy to a small farming town and Haiji, a farmer who's just your typical looks like a tough bad boy on the outside, but is actually kind hearted and caring. Haiji looks out for Kokoro who's still learning the area and doesn't have a full grasp on the language and I just thought their relationship was so sweet. Haiji is so patient with Kokoro when he doesn't understand things and I love the way Kokoro speaks up when he's confused or needs clarification. It sounds so stupid saying it like that, but I thought it was really endearing.
The couples dynamics Minta writes are so good and cute and sweet. The stories really stick with me. I just want to read more and more.

M'estic reconciliant amb la mangaka? Podria ser ^^' en aquest BL tenim per una banda un noi de poble que treballa al camp i té fama d'esquerp i un altre noi que està de visita en aquesta zona rural per reviure la història d'amor dels seus pares (un italià i una japonesa). Es trenca una mica el clixé perquè el primer que s'enamora és el macarra i la progressió és força natural i versemblant. Per ser un volum únic està prou bé amb un bon equilibri entre drama, amor i comèdia, tot i que peca del ritme accelerat típic del format i de poca profunditat dels protagonistes, sobretot del Kokoro de qui només sabem la història dels pares, però a estones ens faltaria saber què pensa i sent... entre el 3 i el 3,5

It's not too bad as a story, but there was so so little: no depth into the characters, not even much plot. It really felt quite flat to me and the art is nothing special.
However, this can still be enjoyable to some people who feel like reading nothing uncompromising or in depth. Just don’t expect too much.

Not the best, not the worst, just a good read. I really enjoyed the art and the story is very cute!
It follows the romance between Kokoro, a half-Italian and half-Japanese man who moves out to the countryside and has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen in B&W, and Haiji, who loves his family and farmwork. The two mainly cross paths because Kokoro moves in "next door" and their romance develops over how friendly Kokoro can be. If anything, it was refreshing to have a character being so open about his feelings and seeing a bit about the "lost in translation" vibe (since he's half-Italian and is only just moving out to Japan now)
I would have liked more of them after they got together

Vielen Dank an den Verlag für das Rezensionsexemplar. Es ist mal wieder Manga Time. Ich habe die Mangas aus dem Hayabusa Verlag schon sehr ins Herz geschlossen, da diese so offen und tolerant sind. Da musste ich auch Mal wieder ein Manga lesen. Mit "Darling, give me a break" habe ich hier wieder ein schöner Manga kennengelernt. Kokoro zieht in ein kleines Dorf in Japan. Dabei lernt er zufällig Haiji kennen. Haiji fällt sofort auf, dass Kokoro nicht aus Japan kommt. Er ist eigentlich in Italien geboren und aufgewachsen, einzig und allein seine Mutter hatte japanische Wurzeln. Kokoro hat aber absolut keine Ahnung vom Leben auf dem Land und sucht sich immer wieder Hilfe von Haiji. Dieser kann ihm einfach keine bitte ausschlagen, obwohl er selbst genug zu tun hat. Was aber wirklich dabei raus kommt, damit hätte Haiji niemals gerechnet.
Kokoro mochte ich von Anfang an. Er war tollpatschig und kam definitiv alleine nicht zurecht, aber er hatte sein Herz am rechten Fleck. Er hatte einen Traum, denn er verwirklichen möchte und kämpft auch dafür, auch wenn es ihm nicht so leicht fällt. Haiji war ein Hitzkopf. Er wurde schnell wütend und in seinem Kopf herrscht ein reines Gedankenchaos. Als er Kokoro besser kennenlernt, lernt er auch gleichzeitig Gefühle kennen die er nicht richtig einordnen konnte. Er hat versucht diese zu verdrängen, aber sein Herz hat das nicht zugelassen.
Der Zeichenstil war lebhaft und detailliert. Man konnte sich das Land leben sehr gut vorstellen, auch wenn nur ein Teil gezeigt wurde. Die Dialoge waren eine Mischung aus Emotionen. Teils dramatisch, teils traurig, humorvoll und auch wieder liebevoll. Es war alles in allem ein Manga zum Wohlfühlen und es war mit seiner offenen Art einfach nur toll. Ich freue mich schon wirklich sehr auf weitere Mangas aus dem Hause Hayabusa und kann diesen Manga wirklich weiterempfehlen.

Un giorno, vicino a casa loro, si trasferisce Kokoro, un suo coetaneo di origine italiane.
I due diventano subito amici e poi...
Kokoro è un diciottenne schietto, non si fa problemi a rivelare chiaramente quello che pensa o a salutare Haiji con abbracci e baci sulle guance.
Inizialmente, Haiji si sente disorientato da questo comportamento così aperto e socievole, ma col tempo riesce a comprendere la causa del suo turbamento. Si accorge di voler passare sempre più tempo con Kokoro e realizza di provare sentimenti che vanno oltre l'amicizia.
Ho trovato autentica la reazione di Haiji nel momento in cui prende consapevolezza dei suoi sentimenti: è infatti difficile capire se l'altra persona nutre le stesse emozioni e spesso non è semplice comprendere i propri desideri.
Tra i due, è Haiji quello più controllato, ma ad un certo punto "esplode" e fa capire chiaramente cosa prova, spiazzando Kokoro e anche noi lettori. Ma quanto ho amato quel suo momento di pura impulsività!
Mi sono emozionata tantissimo in queste pagine, il percorso di Kokoro e Haiji è molto tenero, sono entrambi due personaggi molto veri che vengono destabilizzati da questo nuovo sentimento.
Ho trovato molto dolci anche i momenti in cui si parla di famiglia, dei ricordi legati ai genitori o i piccoli episodi di Haiji con le sorelle. E ho trovato anche molto carina tutta la parte delle incomprensioni sulla lingua, aggiunge un tocco di simpatia alla storia.
Si tratta di un volume unico che mescola momenti di leggerezza e tenerezza, con due protagonisti che vivono una relazione sana e una presa di coscienza autentica dei propri sentimenti.

Conoscevo già l'autrice, Minta Suzumaru, grazie ai suoi lavori "Cupid Shock" e "Il tesoro di Takara". In questo nuovo racconto, Hanji è un ragazzo che vive con la sua famiglia in campagna e lavora nei campi insieme al padre. Un giorno, però, nella casa vicina si trasferisce Kokoro, un ragazzo della sua stessa età, di origini italiane.
A differenza di Hanji, Kokoro è estroverso, aperto e molto socievole, tanto che si affeziona subito a lui, salutandolo con abbracci e baci sulle guance. Inizialmente, Hanji si sente disorientato da questo comportamento così caloroso e diretto. Tuttavia, col passare del tempo, si accorge che desidera trascorrere sempre più tempo con Kokoro e inizia a rendersi conto di provare sentimenti che vanno oltre l'amicizia.
Devo essere sincera, però non sono riuscita ad apprezzare appieno la storia. Tutto si sviluppa troppo velocemente, e il comportamento di Hanji è difficile da comprendere. È'molto impulsivo e orgoglioso, e basta una piccola incomprensione perché inizi a ignorare la sua cotta, trattandola con freddezza, quando basterebbe comunicare di più per chiarire la situazione.

AHH SOO CUTE I LOVE THEM. The character design is so fitting, and cool, and pretty, and their dynamic was so sweet, and fluffy, and it felt right out of my fanfiction dreams. I really liked the element of working on a farm, too! I did think that the romance came into the story too quickly and the sex parts didn't feel quite right yet, so I think it would've been perfect for the manga to be longer. I'm still going to give this FIVE STARS because it was such a stark contrast in enjoyment to the last manga I read. I'm really excited for the translation of Cupid Struck by Lightning that's coming out soonish.

È un manga boy's love di un solo volume con uno svolgimento abbastanza soddisfacente.
L'ambientazione è molto originale come lo è l'incontro tra i due protagonisti.
Secondo me la pecca è che l'autrice non ha dato abbastanza profondità ai protagonisti, aveva impostato le basi ma poi non le ha evolute.
In sintesi è una one shot che dà soddisfazione e ti lascia il sorriso sulle labbra nel finale, ma come lati negativi ha la poca evoluzione dei personaggi.
Se l'autrice avesse la possibilità di scrivere storie più lunghe e con più volumi non esiterei a leggerla nuovamente.
Le auguro il meglio e consiglio il manga a chi apprezza il genere.

I do like this, it´s cute, has a satisfying ending and great character design.
But it´s pretty much the same as most of the shounen-ai i read.
Again, that´s not necessarily a problem, sometimes i NEED a solid adorable manga with minimal angst and nothing else. Especially after reading so much sad stuff.
I just want people who want to read this know, it´s probably what u expect a normal shounen-ai manga to be, nothing more and nothing less (which may make this forgettable, but nevertheless enjoyable for the moment).

Dieser Manga ist zwar ein Einzelband, aber hat so viel Sanftmütigkeit und Wärme in der Geschichte, dass da einem nur selber warm ums Herz wird. Haiji und Kokoro anfängliche Freundschaft verwandelt sich nach und nach in eine Liebe, die einfach das Herz der Beiden widerspiegelt.
Es war ein Genuss, diesen Manga zu lesen. ☺️

3.5 rate up . Half Japanese half Italian guy moves next door to farmer boy who takes care of his sister and family and loves his farm. There’s a bit of a language barely but the two get along well. Until Haji can’t see, to get koroko off his mind and wonders how to tell him so he’d understand.

Es lindo, el arte visual es bonito aunque me gustó más el de "koi wo suru tsumori wa nakatta" (normal si tomamos en cuenta la fecha de publicación) es ligero de leer, puede servir de introducción para leer BL.
Pdt: realmente me sorprendí al ver la edad de los protagonista, creí que tenían 16-17 años

Cute new-adult yaoi that puts a spin on cross-cultural communication. My favourite moment was the MC exclaiming "I'm not gay! But I am also emotionally mature enough to know what I'm feeling..." and then just rolling with it :D This was really cute and the spice was tamer and beside a surprise kiss a farm-core romp all around!
