Set in the sixties in rough-scramble Chicago, Tony Tormenti's troubled life is gripping, raw, and heartbreaking. Despite his dark moments, and seemingly crippling flaws, readers will root for Tony every step of the way. Move over Holden Caulfield, Tony Tormenti is here, and he has plenty to say. This unflinching look at one Italian boy battling life in the south side of Chicago is well worth the read. Goes great with a heaping side of spaghetti and meatballs.
