Quick Guide to Analogue Synthesis

Rate this book
Even though music production has moved into the digital domain, modern synthesisers invariably use analogue synthesis techniques. The reason is simple--analogue synthesis is flexible and versatile, and it's relatively easy for us to understand. The basics are the same for all analogue synths, and you'll quickly be able to adapt the principles to any instrument, to edit existing sounds and create exciting new ones. This book If you want to take your synthesiser--of the hardware or software variety--past the presets, and program your own sounds and effects, this practical and well-illustrated book tells you what you need to know.

An excellent little intro to analogue synthesis. Requires a bit of pre-knowledge for the best read but, hey, I didn't know that stuff and got a lot out of this book. Still pondering harmonics, however…
