Cool Action and Drama

A
I really like the Athena character. She is competent, intriguing and continues to develop her abilities and skills. This is a great saga, now Athena discovers her roots and family on Mars. She is surprised to find that the leader of the Martian government is her Grandmother Amalie. Natalie is also a compelling character. Wilson the mischievous IA is his humorous self. The balance of humor, action, and Drama is very well written. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Good

I enjoyed Rey this book although the action was less than the previous book. I am currently reading all the books in sequence and it is very obvious how the “character” of the different books and stories changes with each book. Some stories are very good and extremely suspenseful, while others (like this one) almost reads like a stop-gap or intro into a hopefully better story in next book.

Mars!

A new development is added to our heroes story. Mars! And what she finds there. We are all in for a big surprise! I feel that the author is adding more to this whole series of books.

Oxymoronic or just plain moronic!

I have read all the Athena books up to this point. And YES the editing does seems to be done by second graders. All of them are. But this story is just ridiculous! I am only up to Chapter 10 and I cannot even count how many people have been told about this SUPPOSEDLY "secret" mission. SECRET it is NOT! !
I really, really wish the author believed in quality over quantity. Then he would be a medium quality author instead of a half way hack. Too bad, so sad. I read a LOT of Sci-Fi. We need more good authors. Mr. Paul is not.

I’ve criticised the last few books partly because Athena was only a ‘bit part’ player, in this book she is back as one of the main characters and the story is much better for it. In fact this is probably my favourite Athena Lee book so far.
My only problem is the ending which as well as being a bit of a cliff-hanger was also messy, leaving too many elements of the story just hanging.

Another great book by TS Paul

This is another great read diving deeper into the Athena Lee Universe. We learn more about her, her family and politics of the time. I look forward to the next book.
