Upon rereading I have to give it a slight upgrade.
There are two good SF stories and one other that, while not SF, is still a well done morality fiction.
However, the remaining seven stories are still rather lacking in one or more regards, so I still have to give it a less than par.

Original review:
The stories in here might pass as a children's book, where the reader doesn't have a clue as to what is possible or not, or even plausible. Reading was like listening to a child's story that they make up as they go along.

No spoilers here! I enjoyed reading this anthology as most of the stories worked for me, giving me things to contemplate. One story deeply disturbed me and I've had a few nightmares about it. To me, that means it was a powerful story and I'm still wrestling with its meanings. A story I didn't care for because it was too cheesy and cliched for me still made me smile because I know my father would've loved it, it might've even been his favorite in the collection. There was one story I particularly wish would become the basis for continuing stories whether in tv or written form.

Another story screamed with potential it didn't quite reach, but I've kept turning it over in my mind because the concept strongly intrigued me. One other kept darting into maudlin territory, but this story too interested me. So even the ones I didn't like still stirred me and have been occupying my thoughts long after I finished them. So that's saying something.

It's a well-curated collection with several stories I deeply enjoyed. I do recommend reading this because these stories show insight into identity and possibility. I received this at a free or discounted price in exchange for my honest review

Another good collection of sci-fi shorts. Some of these are REALLY good. I am not gonna stop until I have read all of these collections.
