Naked was a sweet loving story that I truly enjoyed reading. This is my second book by Gina Gordon and the woman knows how to write good romance, with developed characters and sexy scenes that goes with it.

The first thing I liked a lot is how Gina makes you want to follow her through her series. Naked is the first book in the Body and Soul series and within the first 15-20% of the book, you’re already all in for the future.

I can’t wait to see what she has in store for Harper, Luke and Charlotte.

Violet has gone through a major ordeal and is both physically and emotionally affected. Noah is her sexy neighbor who finds a creative way to get her to meet him. Violet is hesitant to show her body but somehow still manages to initiate an affair with Noah. Now, I can relate to insecurity, but there's something about Violet that just doesn't vibe for me. Noah was awesome. The sex scenes are pretty hot. The story outside of it? I found myself bored. The one really interesting thing about the stor ...more
An emotive story about self-discovery, courage and overcoming guilt and insecurities encased in a sexy love story.
“Everyone has something to offer this world. Everytone is beautiful. But if you don’t feel it, no one else will either.”

Violet Walker knows her future awaits. After a life threatening and altering accident her confidence is shaken and taking the reins of father’s construction conglomerate is too overwhelming. Her fiancée had died but she survived with inner and outer scars. So f

Not my favorite book by Gina Gordon, but I respect the reasonings and the story line she has tried to give readers, in telling Violet Walkers story.

"You are more than just what you look like on the outside…"

"But that’s who I am. All my life everyone always told me I’m beautiful."

Body Image, and the way we and others perceive us is a huge thing nowadays, and although I understood Violets struggles, I certainly didn’t agree with a lot of her actions as the boo

An emotional touching tale of rediscovering strength, hope, love, second chances, and beauty. I have read several books from Gina Gordon but in her newest release, Naked, Ms. Gordon went beyond a typical love story. She stripped her readers naked and in such allowed them to really feel. Feel the hopelessness, the loss, the guilt, the insecurity and the vulnerability of being exposed.

My goal, when reading a romance, is to NOT have that moment where I call either the hero or heroine, or both, pendejos [Spanish for morons]. It’s a small goal, and unfortunately, I did not achieve it reading this book. That moment happened sometime around 65 or so percent in and I'm sorry but Violet is an insecure heroine. Her insecurity wears on a reader after a while.

Now, I can deal with an insecure heroine, because as a reader it's the character arc that I crave to see. However, in this inst

4 don't forget to live and love stars. I wasn't blown away by the novel but I found it easy to read and liked both Violet and Noah. The story is one of accepting yourself, accepting a traumatic experience and finding love. Without a doubt, Noah will remind you of why it's so great to fall in love with someone and Violet will remind you that you can't live without a bit of risk.

Violet has self-esteem issues since an accident left her with physical and emotional scars. Noah has been hurt before and doesn't do relationships. He prefers to stay away from commitment and leave his heart out of it. When Noah and Violet meet, they start a month long affair, no last names and no details about their personal lives. What starts out as fun soon turns into a deeper and more complicated connection than either of them had planned.

I really enjoyed this story. Violet really strugg

This book was very thought provoking, and it definitely struck a chord with me. There were lots of subliminal messages that really made me stop and think about society's perception of beauty and how it affects us all.

Violet never wanted to be defined by her beauty but that's what has happened her entire life. She is a woman trying to forge a path in a very male-dominated world (construction), trying to prove she has achieved her position due to skill and intelligence, and not because of how she

The story line follows two people both carrying a little baggage , well maybe one more that the other, but it is understandable.

He pressed a kiss to her forehead, his last words a whisper across her skin. "My Violet."

Ever since the accident that claimed the life of Violet Walker's fiancé and left her scarred, she has been practically hiding out in a small town on the outskirts of the city. She knows it's time to go back and take over the company her father built from the ground up. She even has a new project to pitch and she is determined to prove to the other board members that she is more than just a pretty face.

If you're looking for a romance that balances plentiful sexy action with a heartfelt story, then Naked is that.

Whilst I did find the it a little drawn out and paced steadier than previous books I've read from Gina Gordon, she has brought us a likeable couple with a good chemistry, evident from their first encounter. Violet was a bit of a hit and miss character for me; whilst I totally understood her insecurities and appreciated her going for what she wanted, she did come over as a lit

Great new series in the making. Love the characters especially Harper ( I am so looking forward to her story) Violet's life has been defined by her beauty and when she no longer has that, she seems to lose her self identity. Coupled with tragedy and her family's expectations of her makes her even more of a recluse. Noah is right there watching and waiting, giving her what she needs from him, patiently for her to open up even though he can see how blatantly her demons hold her back. But it is ama ...more

The beginning of "Naked" begins with some humor as we watch how the heroine, Violet and the hero, Noah, meet. Neither wants a serious relationship but for different reasons. Before they go out Violet sets some ground rules. No personal information. No last names. Just a month long fling. (That's how long she'll be in this town before moving back to the city. But the best laid plans never go as planned. There is a spark between Violet and Noah that neither can deny. But Violet is hiding a big sec ...more

All I can say is... this man has been invading my dreams lately and when I got to read Naked, I imagined him as Noah Young.

And boy he is one hot sizzling tamale!

Violet Walker sees herself as hideous. She looks at herself and can't help but feel guilty for living while her fiance is dead. Then she sees a man falling from his roof. And her heartbeat has never been the same.

Noah Young falls for her. He treats her as an equal, even though he doesn't know who she really is. He's curious why she's bee

A fantastic read that is the beginning of what looks like a fantastic new series. While I enjoyed Noah and Violet's story, I'm already looking forward to Harper's story. That's how great all the characters are in this one. This story is filled with emotion and takes a hard look at how we view ourselves as well as each other. Definitely leaves you with lots to think about.

This book is equal parts funny and emotional. Violet was dealing with a lot and my heart went out to her. I got a great kick out of her spying on her neighbor Noah though. Her inner monologues were a hoot.

Oh Noah. He was dealing with his own issues and once he set his sights on Violet their chemistry was sizzling.

Unfortunately Violet and Noah's issues seemed to drag out a bit in the middle and I felt it stunted the story before taking

I really liked the premise of this book, but I just didn't connect with the characters; mainly the female lead, Violet. I still enjoyed the book, and it looks like this is going to be a series, so I think I'll check out the next books in the series because I did like the writing.

Violet was in a car accident that left her with some bad scars on her neck and across her chest, and because of it she wears scarfs and clothes that cover up her scarred area, and she has very low self-esteem because she

There were some aspects of this story that I really liked but there were also some that I really disliked. I was back and forth throughout the entire read and had a difficult time figuring out how I felt about it.

Naked was an OK read.
I liked Violet character, she had insecurities and fears that held her back from living life to the fullest.
Noah was a total sweetheart, he was supportive, sexy, loved his family and the perfect guy for Violet.
I wasn't a fan of Violet keeping secrets, so when the truth came out I totally understood Noah's pain.

Overall I enjoyed this heartwarming story, I was happy Violet and Noah found their happily ever after with communication and trust.

Looking forward to the next

I'm thinking Noah appreciates his woman getting a tattoo that represents their relationship, "she took a deep breath and said, “I want a dandelion.”Noah’s heart seized. They had had the dandelion conversation. They had effed in a sea of them. He couldn’t help but get a swell in his chest from ego and appreciation that the symbol had everything to do with him." I enjoyed this book I loved Noah he was sexy.

Now this is a great start to a series!!! Loved that the author took the time to develop so many of the other characters (Harper, Charlotte); I can't wait to read their stories!

Violet is hiding herself away in a small town following a tragic accident that cost her fiance his life and scarred her own body as a constant reminder of the argument they had prior to the crash. She has shut out everyone since the accident; so much so that no one outside of the medical profession has ever seen her scars
