This novel is so far away from my usual choice of story, it's a leap out of my comfort zone, yet the blurb on the back really tempted me. I knew that I was in for a challenge, but I was determined that I wanted to read this one. I have always had a keen interest in other cultures and religions, and this story of terrorism, the occult and nationalism opens up a whole new world for me as a reader.

The main characters in Satans & Shaitans are Donaldo Amechi & Adeline Chuba. Donaldo is an artist, his father discovered this trait in him at young age, withdraws him from school then proceeds to bring him tutors to hone his skills giving him little room for a social life. Adeline is the daughter of an evangelist, raised to abstain from the company of boys on grounds that it is a sin to have a boyfriend. She spends her days lost in books or watching TV.
