This dictionary will be read for fun. My husband and I love it. My five year old can be found reading it for pleasure. It might be getting kind of old but don't let a couple of outdated entries dissuade you. The contents are that entrancing. With all the talk of STEM these days, we can't miss out on this or other works by the same author.

This book covers the basics of old school science. What is here is great! There are important definitions missing from this edition.

Very helpful! My science has been, er, modified by this book ... still can't understand what a 'newton' is, though...
