Great easy to make recipes for all to cook at home.

My View:
A cook book for the novice and not so novice cook (and not just for men - though I do applaud the attempt to engage more men in everyday cooking). Dan Churchill has produced another healthy eating guide full of recipes that are contemporary and follow current food trends (using ingredients such as** Teff, coconut milk, couscous, quinoa, some low carb recipes, protein shakes, extraordinary yet simple breakfast suggestions etc.). This was an OK cookbook. Do I think that it is the type of cookbook that a guy clueless about cooking would pick up for his first foray into the culinary arts - no. Although the dishes aren't too complicated, they could be daunting for a first time cook - especially a guy who thinks cooking is not for him (for which, according to the chapter, "Why was this Cookbook Created?", it is designed). I just can't see a new "guy" chef who is picking up his first cookbook, buying one that has coriander, c ...more

Don’t be put off by the “dude” tag here. In fact, rejoice in it, for this is a Good Cookbook. Handsome, boyish author Churchill was on a show called MasterChef Australia and (fun fact) touted the book on Good Morning America by preparing a burger for Blake Lively. This succeeds admirably in its intent: to teach young men to cook “simple, healthy, delicious, and fun meals” for themselves and the people they love. Recipes emphasize tastiness and nutritional density (meaning there are few wasted ca ...more

A must-have for any novice in the kitchen, or anyone just simply interested in cooking some seriously delicious meals! When all of the recipes in DudeFood require minimal equipment in the kitchen, that's fantastic news for those just entering the world of pots, pans, blenders and stoves.

Right away, the set-up is simple. Dan explains what items are a “must have” in our pantry to make cooking easier with a simple list.

What I like the most about this cookbook is that each section is broken down wi

Recommends it for: Guys
Dan Churchill, star of MasterChef Australia, has made the perfect cookbook for guys everywhere. With his degree in Exercise Science, Churchill has also made sure that nutrition and calories are a big part of the equation without sacrificing flavor or looks. DudeFood aims to help guys eat right and also impress the ladies. In the Foods That Last chapter, the recipes are filling and also make enough for tomorrow. The Berry Compote French Toast in Hangover Cure looks heavenly as well as relatively ...more

I thought this was a well-thought out cookbook, appropriate for women as well as men. I liked that all the recipes had wonderful photos attached. My husband is the cook of the family and I am the kitchen supervisor....For the last few months we have been on a fairly strict diet and are almost at our goal. This is why we haven't actually tried making an of Dan's yummy offerings. I can hardly wait to try that Slow Roasted Beef and the Protein Brownies. I look forward to eating quite a few of the r ...more

I won this book in the first reads giveaway in hopes of it inspiring my husband to learn to cook. I thumbed through the recipes and they look delicious and am sure to see my husband cooking up a storm in the coming days. What an honor to win a free copy of this book!! I skimmed through it and I was well-pleased. The recipes are easy and right up my alley. I was a bit disappointed there weren't very many drinks in here. But I think the author makes up for it with the rest. I really enjoyed the format, design,& layout of the book as well. Great job!! I cannot wait to try a few of the recipes myself.

Ladies will love this book because it's filled with pictures of hot, ripped dudes. Dudes will love this book because it shows them how to eat well -- and everyone these days knows that Macca's doesn't cut it -- with minimal fuss. The cookbook is arranged around situations dudes normally face: impressing a girl, gym workouts, and cutting your calories.

Meh. It has a good recipe:picture ratio, but nothing that really grabbed me. Plus, you have to wade through a whole lot of weird dude nonsense to get to them.
