Good read! However….

These are good mystery books however the typos need to be corrected and edited better for content. The story sometimes contradicts itself!

Again, another great story almost ruined because of negligent editing & proofreading. The first victim allegedly lived alone since her husband died (page 18) - but then, the husband finds the body!! Neat trick for a dead guy. It's also mentioned that the first victim was drinking a glass of Pinot Grigio prior, but when Agent Wise is examining the scene, she finds "a wine glass sat nearby, still containing about an inch of red wine" (page 19). Umm, Pinot Grigio is a WHITE wine. Then, when Agent DeMarco is checking her notes from the scene, it says that Sandra Morrison, a neighbor, found the victim (page 45). AHHHHHH! There are misspelled words and several times when characters are referred to by the wrong name, i.e. Agent Wise's daughter is Melissa, married to Terry & has a daughter, Michelle, but a passage in the book says, "Michelle's husband, Terry" (page 201).

While I enjoy these storylines, the lack of proper editing is so distracting that I question if I even want to finish the series - does the author not care, doesn't he know what he wrote?? Very sad.

NEWS FLASH: I JUST found this out - Blake Pierce is not a single real person, but rather a pseudonym used by a team of ghostwriters, a model known as "book packaging". The high volume of books released under the name, along with a lack of author photos or interviews, led to the theory that multiple authors write under this single brand. The copyright is held by Noah Lukeman.
NO WONDER THE EDITING IS AWFUL.
