can’t be for real
I haven’t read any of this author’s work in a long time. I’m talking a couple years because I read a series from her few years ago and I liked it, so I tried to read some of her other work and it was like hit or miss. Then it just became miss after miss after miss after(y’all get it). So I just stopped reading her work. Then I saw this book and decided I’m gone give a shot after reading the reviews. Those 5 star reviews cannot be for real. This book was horrible to me.
I felt like I was reading about some dumb ass kids. From the way they talked to the actions they took. There is no real plot twists because the story is sooooo predictable I don’t have to finish to know what I need to know. Calling Ply Perry to the throw the reader off wasn’t throwing the reader off. We knew they were the same person how could you not?
Lady or whatever her name is was a horrible mother in all aspects. You telling me you thought your weak a$$ bf was gone kill your bd and baby AFTER he already done got his a$$ whooped and did nothing? So once again you abandoned your baby and tried to use that as an excuse.. IN YOUR HOME TOWN WHERE YOUR BD IS THE “KING” so they kept saying. But then he wasn’t the smartest and had no kind of intuition about the ppl that he kept around, so maybe he would’ve got caught slippin too. 🤦🏿♀️🤦🏿♀️🤦🏿♀️ this book just jump around and around from each person and not really saying anything. It’s basically the same book she always writes with different characters. I guess I’m just over her work now. The last good book was the last one atp.

This book really took me for a ride!!
The secrets that Lady held about what happened to her & about Cammy was crazy!!! My heart hurt for Cammy throughout the entire book!! The way Pres jumped in & became SUPER DAD from day 1 was everythinggggg!!! My man, my man, my man! He was really a stand up guy!
Ply PMTFO sooooo bad!!! I knew something wasn’t right wit him!!! It’s always the ones closest to you 😒! This was a really good read with a lot of twists & turns!! Can’t wait to get into the next book in the series!

I liked this book
But baby Lady was weak the whole book. I'm so tired of the FMC being weak like where is the balance. Pres was it baby. Loved him to death. Hew was jem as a best friend. I knocked that one star off simply because of Lady.

Jealousy does it every time
I loved this read but not gone lie Larissa worked a few of my nerves. She was definitely too scary and sensitive for me. Now by no means what was done to her and Carmen was right, it was so vile and disheartening. Her mom sheltered her and also made her look down on others, that she couldn’t even think for herself.
It sucked that she missed so much time with Cammy due to a misunderstanding and her wanting to be stuck in her trauma. And speaking of Cammy 🥹🥹 I loved her so much. The bond that she built with her dad was beautiful and her situation broke my heart. Lex aka Flex lol was a sad sack of sh!t and for what he deserved. Ply hatred and jealousy was seen immediately smh, he went out like a sucka. Glad Camren took care of Tonya and MeMe too. The ending made my heart smile and I was here for it ❤️ Great job as always!!

What a great story. I loved the characters, the plot, the humor, and especially the love story. My favorite part would have to be every time Cammy called him ugly Flex lol. And also the ending but you will have to get the book to understand why it’s a fav part.

DNF cant stand Lady…
I was fight through it, I promise I was but how many times is Lady gonna say she has a boyfriend to Camren and constant treat him like shit. Mind you the boyfriend clearly don’t like her and disrespects her. He talks to her child any kind of way. But her child father who is trying, the father who gave their dying daughter he knew nothing about a blood transfusion without her even telling him about her condition. He took it upon himself to find out what was wrong with her. Meanwhile her dumbass mama was yelling like a child in a hospital. Omg Lady annoyed my soul and I can’t finish because I can’t stand the bitch. That boyfriend of her hates her and she keep telling Camren she had a boyfriend. He stops by to see his daughter, “I have a boyfriend” like bitcchhh okay we got it. Shut yo ditzy ass up!!

I tried…
I tried but it’s so much I didn’t like it … The story was moving then moving too fast then stupid cus how u in a club and the baby in the hospital u so scared but u not …I can’t 🤦🏽♀️ couldn’t even finish it so I skip to the end and basically what I figured out frm the beginning was the whole plot so I’m glad I didn’t waste my time also I love reading so I expected more I’m old skool with these book especially Urban Fiction category and I like good character development so that being said how was they in love with each other each other frm a few encounters.. 🤷🏽♀️

Definitely Disappointed
This was my first time reading one of Latoya Nicole’s books. To say that I was disappointed, is an understatement. The storyline was solid, the execution of it was off. First, Lady, the MFC was weak as hell. There was nothing redeeming about her at any point in the story. Secondly, a lot of the scenes were just unbelievable. Then the dialogue between the characters was whack. It just left a lot to be desired. If this is any indication of the quality of her catalog then I’m good on her books.

Mr President
Although very entertaining, there was some things I liked about the book and some things that I disliked. I liked the fact that Pres didn’t hesitate to claim Cammy as his child nor to give blood nor bone marrow for her. He stood on business with Lady getting her to talk about why she disappeared seven years ago thinking that he had violated her when both of them had been set up by so called friends. Pres supposed to be the man on the streets so he should’ve looked into Lex’s background from day one and shared Cammy and Lady’s location since the air tag plan fell through. He should’ve searched for Cinnamon when his first trap house got robbed to find out what went down and who was involved. I’m not understanding why Lady was scared when Lex issued his threats when she knew Pres wasn’t nobody to play with. I absolutely love the twin sisterhood between Lady and Jew. Jew was about her coins but she peeped out Ply’s shadiness and brought it Pres’s attention. I just don’t get why Ply/Perry tried to bite the hands that were feeding him. I’m glad that Cammy made a full recovery and Pres and Lady was expecting another baby but we needed to know what they were having and what they named the baby. Also, we wanted to know why Lady’s mom wasn’t heard from again after Pres went to her house especially when Lady was missing.

I felt sorry for Lady because she was assaulted by her so called friends. Now got her mama in her about Camren and what she has to get her degree in. Her's is cocky and brash because Cheez gave him the keys to his kingdom, but he doesn't want to be called king he wants to be called pres. Lex thought he had a dummy in Lady but she gave just as much as she got. Lex is motivated by money and taking over Chicago, but Pres would probab had something to say about that especially after he locked Lady in the closet, kidnapped his aunt and abused his daughter. He loves Cammy as soon as he was introduced to her. He spoke positivity in her life. It's a shame that he had to kill his right hand man who he had considered a brother over jealousy and envy. I was glad he let his mammy breath even though she didn't deserve it. Jew is a dirty huzzy, she played in everybody's face for money. Now he has a family that loves him unconditionally.

It also NEEDS a trigger warning page that isn’t just a small paragraph making light of all the triggers in the book. Spice 2/5

Why was Pres so damn funny!? I really missed you and your work man. You are one of the only ones that can have me cracking up out loud to some ish your characters say lol I loved Pres and Lady and that cute little Cammy. My girl didnt like that ugly Flex as she should not have, tuh. He got what was needed. I knew Ply's tail was a slitherer and a opp. He used to say too much flugazy stuff and Pres was letting his tail skate, I aint like that. But everyone got what they deserved in the end and I loved every minute of this until the end. 5 stars love as always.

The love, laughs, tears and anger I. This story. Ms Latoya Nicole never disappoints. I love me so Camren aka Pres and his First Lady. I was so happy he got all the answers he needed. Ply was straight up hating. To do what he did to Lady, then questioned her in the salon was straight foul. I wished Pres got his ass then.
Lexion stayed alive too long. I would have told Pres as soon as I was free from Lexion. It’s true what they say about fools slipping…Camren didn’t play about his family.

Love and Loyalty
This book took me on an emotional ride, with a mix of humor!!!…
My heart broke when Camren and Ply’s took that boat ride because he knew and that reality sunk in for both of them!!!…
Cammie was breath of fresh air and I was happy that she was better because that song on the end had me emotional thinking the worse!!!…
I was happy that Auntie Terrie was able to talk Cam into letting his mother go!!!…
She gave Cam that raw truth, you can’t help or save a person that doesn’t want to helped or saved!!!…

I enjoyed this, it was funny and sad at the same time. But I really didn’t care for the multiple POV, felt like it was all over the place. Also the FMC was so aggravating and made the absolute dumbest decisions but she came around eventually but it still took her too long for me. I love how the MMC was stuck on Larissa; this man would literally read books cause she was a bookworm so he could have something to talk about with her 😍

I think I found a new book bae! Yep Pres is definitely one of them ones! When I say he stood on business, he stood on Big business! Especially when it came to his money, his daughter, and Lady. I glad he got rid of all the snakes in his grass, and spared Carrie. I think if something bad would have happened to Carrie, or if he unalived her, that would have broke Pres down bad. Shout out to Aunt T & Jew, for stepping up and remaining solid through out the book!

Camren ‘Pres’ Washington baby he stood on every kind of business that he could! Larissa ‘Lady’ Jenkins was starting to work my nerves but then she came around. Popcorn was the cutest throughout this whole story and I was rooting for her because she needed for everything to be ok. If Latoya Nicole does not do ANYTHING she is definitely going to make you laugh and that I did.

Jealousy and envy is the devil
This book sent me on a rollercoaster. The lies, betrayal, backstabbing, and heartbreak made one heck of a story line. Poor lil Camryn, going through all of the pain her parents couldn’t fix broke my heart. Prez was my favorite out of them all. I’d recommend this book to anyone who loves a great story line and character development.

In true Latoya fashion this was definitely a must read recommended standalone.
It’s always the ones closest to you that you never see coming.
Had a little of everything… laughter, tears, betrayal and deceit.
Pres was looking for a First Lady and found one in LaRissa.
Cammy stole the show. Ply true colors weren’t a surprise but still didn’t ease the hurt.

This couple had a love that stood the test of time, secret babies and trash 🗑boyfriend. I hate Pres had to get rid of his right hand. Jealousy is definitely deadly!!! Loved this book.!!!

I usually don’t write reviews but this was great. I laughed and actually cried while reading this book and I wasn’t expecting that. I was rooting for the MMC, Pres, the whole story. He was such a good guy. The FMC, Lady, was a little weak but likable bc her weakness was bc of what she had endured. Overall, I enjoyed this story.

Nice Story!
As always Ms Latoya didn’t disappoint with her story telling. Lady pissed me off and I loved Pres. Ms Cammy was such a sweetheart. Jew and T were lovable characters as well. I have 3 stars due to the multiple grammatical errors and the mix up on POV in one of the chapters. But overall a great read and I recommend purchasing /downloading this book.

Pres and Lady‼️
This book had me missing out on sleep. You will cry, laugh, and cry some more. The entire book keep you on the edge wanting to know what happens next.
I believe Jew has a story tell, even if it’s short. I love her loyalty to Lady and Pres. she really paid attention to her surroundings.
Latoya did a great job with writing this book.

Wheww if this book shows you anything it shows your that everybody ain’t your friend. The ones you think are on your side really hating and wanting your spot. Larissa was going through it in this book just tryna make it out, and Cam was destined to be in charge. It’s just a couple snakes in both of their gardens
