Blaine is drawn to history student Julie. It isn't just her beauty that appeals to him; her intelligence is out of this world appealing. But he's the TA, technically her teacher, and a relationship between them would be against university rules.

When Julie decides to pursue Blaine by asking him for help with an assignment, she's half-convinced he knows the real reason she's pretending to need his help. Their study session turns hot and heavy, confirmation the attraction isn't unrequited, but is a relationship worth pursing with his TA position looming over them?

Their HEA didn't come easy. There were mishaps, miscommunications, and misunderstandings before they got it. It was a slightly wild ride, to be honest. There was a point in the story when I felt I was going to lose it because of how deeply the characters were hurting. Thank God West didn't draw it out.

This teacher/student romance is a light-medium read, with a healthy helping of internal conflict to balance the MMC's OTT tendencies and plenty of sweet heat.

This is your run of the mill, average innocent student - teacher book with a bit of a twist - though there is some steam of course, they don’t actually do the deed. I rather hate the innocent virgin stories, but this was well done, and I didn’t take any points for something that wasn’t the author’s fault.

The published length of the story is 50 pages, however add in all the beginning filler and it’s actually only 50 pages long. It would have been better without an epilogue, trying to force a HEA when a HFN would’ve made more sense. I would have liked to have seen more of this story, as the author writes well and the story was edited well with no obvious typos or grammatical errors.

Overall, this is a great quick read, a nice filler story in between longer stories and books. I’d be interested to read what else this author has written/will write.

Grad student Blaine (H) is captivated by Julie (h), an undergrad in the history class he's a TA for. As he struggles with the ethical implications of his growing attraction to her, Julie seizes the chance to get closer to him by asking for private tutoring sessions. The supposed tutoring sessions quickly give way as things heat up between the two, until misunderstandings and insecurities threaten to derail their relationship. Julie came across as just what she a young woman inexperienced in relationships. Blaine just rubbed me the wrong way with his insecurities and really poor communication skills - just open your mouth and talk dude; I mean his kiss is supposed to wordlessly communicate he wants forever with her on their third night?

Once again Lizzy writes a beautiful story of love at first sight. Blaine is the TA for Julie’s class and they shouldn’t feel what they do. At least until the semester is done. But Julie takes a chance and claims she needs extra tutoring from Blaine. It had some great steamy scenes and it is very well written.
The problem was I just didn’t feel the connection between the two as much as I expect from a Lizzy West story. Yes they did finally sit down and chat and clear the air from various different situations, but it happened at the end and then it jumped to the epilogue. So it left me a little dissatisfied. But the epilogue gives them a beautiful HEA and shows their love still going strong. It was good, just not my favorite.
I did receive an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

Practicing With My Tutor is Book 5 of Love at First Glance. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, slightly forbidden, virgin gets her tutor romance. Julie is a sweet and smart college undergraduate student. Blaine is a hunky graduate student and tutor for her history class. The two have been crushing on each other, but he isn't supposed to date students. Julie finally asks for some tutoring lessons in order to get time with him. Things get steamy fast. But the two run hot and cold over the next few dates. Can Blaine prove he's all in? This couple's chemistry was pure fire, and we got a great HEA. This was a fun and spicy college romance.

This quick read follows Julie who has been crushing on her teacher’s assistant for a while now and although she is beyond smart in her studies she thinks what better way to get his attention than to ask for his help as a tutor. Blain has had his eyes on Julie for a while now too but his status being the TA has kept him away until she comes to him asking for help. With a few miscommunications that have them confused and frustrated can they finally get what they want and that’s to be with each other or will they walk away never knowing? This was a quick read with some spice that it was easy to devour.

Blaine and Julie were really cute together. He’s her history class’s TA and they’d been eyeing each other all semester with nothing to show for it. When Julie finally mustered the courage to speak to him, asking for tutoring help, he was understandably surprised since she was the top student in the class though it didn’t take long to realize she might’ve had ulterior motives. A fact he was only too glad to take advantage of.

Although it’s a short and sweet book, it’s not one of my favorites though it may be exactly what you prefer so don’t let me put you off. 4 stars!.

This Is book number 5 of the Love at First Glance series and focuses on Blaine and Julie. Blaine is a TA in the history class that Julie is taking and they both felt the immediate pull towards each other as soon as they met. After a few weeks, Julie decided to initiate more contact with Blaine by asking him to tutor her, even though she had no need for it. Thankfully Blaine was on the same page as Julie and wanted her just as much as she wanted him. Once they had some open communication, they were well on their way to their forever. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

A quick Novella about Blaine and Julie. Blaine has been daydreaming about Julie for a while. Julie likes Blaine and comes up with the ruse of needing extra tutoring to spend more timiw with him, but he sees through it. He's not complaining though as he makes his move on her when she meets up with him for the extra help. But a misunderstanding has Julie questioning Blaine's motives.

A steamy, quick, love affair, their love of history bringing them together and giving them thirst for teaching with a HEA guaranteed.

This is a short and steamy read with Julie and Blain falling for each other instantly. Julie is an undergraduate student and Blain is a graduate student with one semester to go to get his masters. He can’t date students but Julie talks him into tutoring her even tho she doesn’t need tutoring. What Julie needs and wants is Blain. Loved this quick fast and steamy instalove story and a very enjoyable read to relax with. This is my honest review I am voluntarily leaving.

Julie is an undergrad student and Blaine is her TA. She asks him for tutoring even though they both know she doesn't need it. Things turn spicy quickly during their tutoring session.

The only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars was because I didn't really connect with Blaine. He was kind of a jerk, even if he didn't mean to be.

Quick and spicy read – just as promised! A quick novella about Julie and Blain falling for each other. Blaine has been dreaming about Julie for a while but does not think she even notice him. Despite being the best student in class, she asks Blaine for tutoring help, and the steamy parts begin.

This is a steamy love affair, HEA ending and lots of hot scenes. Dual POV (which I am a big fan of).

This is a short, forbidden, instalove romance between a TA and his student. I loved that it was Julie who pursued Blaine wanting to be "tutored". This is their spicy, short read, innocent MFC, and possessive MMC, has dual POV and happy ending. It is an adult read.

This one was short and steamy while still giving us a glimpse into the relationship. I’m not a huge fan of miscommunication tropes, but I did like how Julie stuck it out and asked for communication instead of giving up. HEA and an epilogue in future to tie it up nicely. Good addition to the love at first glance series.

This is a short book you can read in under an hour. Blaine is going to undergrad school, and Julie is one of the students he is connected to. She is very smart and wants to get closer to Blaine, so she pretends she needs a tutor. There are no spoilers here, but they do have an HEA.

Not my favorite novella by Lizzy West. The story had promise and you want to fall in love with the characters, but they are unlikable sometimes. Their story is fast paced and mildly smutty. It was entertaining. Good for when you want something fast and don't mind loose ends.

What a wonderful story, you are hooked on Julie and Blaine's story from the first page. He is her history teacher. The chemistry and attraction is palpable. . After a while, Julie takes the plunge and asks him for help. After an initial hesitation, he gives in and soon sparks start flying.

This is book 5 in Love at First Glance series. This is a fast paced instalove short story. Tropes: age gap, TA and student, and innocent heroine. Julie was so sweet. There was some miscommunication between Blaine and Julie but luckily they were able to work it out.

This was a short quick read with a little bit of spice involved. Blain did annoy me in how he reacted to certain situations but he is able to make up for it by communicating properly with Julie. This was a cute read.

This was a well written and steamy insta-love romance for Blaine and Julie. These two had hot chemistry but they had communication issues the tangled up their journey to an HEA. Expect an engaging reading ride when you dive into this latest addition to the series. Good fun!
