Rate this book
Grace has lived through the toughest year of her life. With a family crisis behind her, she is ready to usher in the New Year with a new resolve. A routine end-of-the year dinner turns into a night of wild bravado. With the urging of her best friend, she creates a Bucket List, placing Mardi Gras at the very top! Grace plans on cutting a few things loose on this road trip, starting with her inhibitions. That is until Brett “The Wolf” McAllister accidently gets hold of her list.

The sexy former pro-wrestler has been attracted to Grace since she became his accountant several years ago. However, Grace has a strict rule against mixing business with pleasure. Brett’s been biding his time, slowly worming his way into her life. When he gets a look at her Bucket List, all hell breaks loose. Not only does she plan on flashing for beads, but she also plans on having a one-night-stand! There’s just no way in hell he’s going to let that happen.

When Grace’s best friend has to cancel at the last minute, Brett is ready to breathe a sigh of relief, but seeing Grace’s disappointment has him playing the court jester as he volunteers to take her to Mardi Gras. Something tells him things won’t be so easy in the ‘Big Easy’!

I'm Gynger Fyer (pronounced Ginger Fire) and for the most part I pen Interracial/Multi-cultural romance and erotic fiction. Like my name, I like my stories to be spicy and hot!

I am an avid reader and fan of romance and erotic fiction. I have been writing(okay, half writing LOL) stories for years. It wasn't until this year that I decided to FINISH my stories and get them published. I believe it's important to follow your dreams and passions. Writing has always been my dream and passion. Everything has it's purpose and place in this world so I encourage people to find their place. I love and respect life and all of it's contradictions. I seek to use those life experiences in my stories. For me, it all starts out with one question..."WHAT IF?.."

As stated in "The Matrix" movie..."It's the question that drives us."
So, I'm in back seat, just seeing where the questions take me.

After a stress filled year of work and worry about her father’s health, at the urging of her best friend Tia during a girls night out filled with one drink too many, uber-responsible accountant Grace Hughes comes up with a bucket list for Mardi Gras that reads like the prelude to a questionable morning after for a girl gone wild.

However, there is no way in hell former professional wrestler Brett “The Wolf” McAllister is letting the woman he loves go to Mardi Gras and flash her lusciousness to anyone for a string of beads. Never mind actually accomplish the rest of the items on her crazy bucket list without him being there to protect her from herself. Problem is, Grace is his accountant and refuses to see him as more than a client turned trusted friend.

But when Grace’s best friend, Tia cancels at the last minute and she’s left without a travel partner, Brett is more than happy to accompany her on her first trip to The Big Easy and help her check off at few items on her bucket list; starting with the one night stand he plans on making permanent.

“The Bucket List” by Gyner Fyer is a super sexy laugh-filled novella with likable and more importantly, relatable characters in situations we all might find ourselves in…or at least hope we’ll find ourselves in. Single, sexy and in need of a vacation; only to have your best male friend, who wants to be more, volunteer to take you and more than eager to become victim to your decision to seduce him.

What IMRR….

Likes:
Brett’s total commitment to a relationship with Grace, despite the fact that she refuses to see him for who he is to her.

Dislikes: The length. I honestly wish it was longer if only to see more of the relationship prior to Brett discovering her bucket list.

IMRR’s Favorite Scene:

***SPOILER ALERT***

In a moment of take the bull by the horns bravado, Grace decides to tell Brett how she feels about him. Every syllable from her lips is amazing news for Brett. Fact is, he’s been waiting more than two years for her to say it. And once it’s out her mouth, as far as Brett’s concerned, all bets are off.

Here’s the kicker, she makes her confession as he’s driving along a packed interstate and the hotel with its big beds is only God knows how far away and he is only SO patient. So what does Brett do? He does what any hot-blooded, horny man does when the woman of his dreams tells him she wants him. He drives like a maniac until he can get to somewhere to safely pull off and ravish her. Problem is, the state police took note of his crazy driving and now thinks he’s kidnapping Grace. He’s mad because he was in heaven feasting on Grace’s luscious lips and was heading downtown with it all before the trooper interrupted him. Grace is beyond embarrassed. She looks like a hooker with her skirt hitched up on the side of a busy highway! Honestly, it was such a sexy, cute, funny scene from start to finish that I’ve gone back to it and read it over several times.

They call Ms. Fyer the arsonist for a reason! Sizzling, unique, with a blend of humor and realness, The Bucket List was a read I couldn’t put down! Her characters were well fleshed out, interesting and flawed. Down to earth, number crunching account Grace has been hurt in the past and has no plans to repeat the experience. So, she fights her attraction to her handsome client turned friend, Brett McAllister. The ex wrestler allows her to keep him at arm’s length while he tries to get her to see there’s more, until he spies the list. The Bucket List written after a few too many lists is the catalyst to a firey passion that’ll had me hot under the collar. *fans face.

This fresh, fast paced, romance is a must read. Ms. Fyer’s vivid writing and spot on chemistry between the heroine and hero will make have you longing to read another one of her stories.

Very short book, but it was a cute love story! She definitely could have written more and developed the characters with a bit more depth. Everything moved a bit too quickly.
