A little slow to start as it rolls out multiple story threads, but it all knits together seamlessly once the action kicks in. Neeta and the rest of the cast are at their best when everything falls to pieces; even the bit players get their chances to shine (Earnest, we salute you!). This was an incredibly fun read. Slapstick zombie comedy has always been something that I've enjoyed, and Karina Fabian has put a lot of that in here, in this story about zombie exterminators gathering for a conference when, you guessed it, a bunch of zombies show up. This is Zombie Fiction like no other. Karina puts a fabulous comedic spin on her stories without making them silly and unbelievable. Her heroine Neeta Lyffe (get it?) is a true-to-life neat freak with an obsession for cleanliness. And let’s face it, a girl whose day job is to don on a Hazchem suit and get covered in Zombie entrails, deserves to be a little quirky.
