THIS EDITION IS INTENDED FOR USE IN SCHOOLS AND LIBRARIES ONLY. Cows Minnie and Moo masquerade as the hero Zorro in order to protect the barnyard, but the results are not quite what they intended.
Neo re-read this one, having discovered the joys of ‘read-along’ audiobooks!
Minnie and Moo are back (alongside Neo reading time)!! When our two favourite bovines read about a majestic Spanish bull, Zorro, they want in on the action. Dressing the part, Minnie and Moo look for danger and evil doers, where they can help around the farm. Leaving the famed "Z", the cows end up stirring up more issues than they solve. Neo loved the book, but wondered why you would want to make a lipstick letter as a superhero.
The incorrect “Spanish” names, the flannel mask (eye patch?), the chicken/fox attack, and the coral pink lipstick on the underwear make for another funny easy reader. Minnie and Moo never white know what they’re doing but they sure do have fun.
Minnie and Moo and the Musk of Zorro (Minnie & Moo) by Denys Cazet is another over-the-top crazy story of the dynamic bovine duo. After Moo reads a story about The Musk of Zorro, the two decide to become heroes and rescue any downtrodden on their farm. After finding costumes in the trunk in the barn, Minnie and Moo try to protect the chickens from a fox and to defeat bad guys in the yard. As usual, things don't go quite as planned.
This is not my favorite in the series, but should amuse many. The large font size, humor, and word repetition make this a good choice for many beginning and transitional readers.
For ages 5 to 7, humor themes, and fans of Minnie, Moo and Denys Cazet.
Minnie and Moo stories are silly, witty and great for beginning readers. Our girls really loved this story, asking to read along with the CD in the car several times. They always laughed when they found the can of "armpit" spray. Not quite toilet humor, but good for a chuckle.
Minnie and Moo are two cows who live on a farm. Moo likes to read books. One day they decide to be like Zorro and save the other creatures on the farm. Their day is spent in one adventure after another.
Minnie and Moo masquerade themselves as Zorro, otherwise known as Juanita del Zorro del Moo and Delores del Zorro del Minnie toset things right on the farm.
Once again these two crazy cows have made me laugh so hard it was difficult to continue reading out loud and causing my 4 yr old to wonder what he was missing! Pretty hilarious!
