I read this book because of the positive reviews I saw on it, but it didn't turn out to be very helpful for my specific situation. However, it was a GREAT read and I highly enjoyed it!
The author really focuses the majority of his time talking about birth order and how it can affect your blended family. Birth order is something that is a fascinating study mostly because the majority of it is just so spot on true. I think it a good thing to at least be aware of because awareness if half the battle. If you have a better understanding of why your spouse, child, step-child behaves a certain way as a result of a certain birth order, you can be better prepared to handle those situations and sidestep some of the blunders and miscommunications that can occur as a result.
In my situation, I am married to a man who has two children and I didn't bring any children to the relationship, so birth order blending didn't occur in my case. However, for anyone who has remarried and both of the spouses are bringing children into the marriage, this book is a MUST READ. You will glean tons of useful tips and information about how birth order can be affecting living in a more harmonious, productive way as a family.
