Talli Ruksas Coronavirus warnings - don't touch your face! I'm afraid your books live in my head...

Steven Sarafian Just saw today a video of an official explaining the importance of not touching one's mouth (eyes, nose, face in general) and then, upon coming to the end of a page in the prepared statement or notes, touched her finger to her tongue to dampen it for page turning! Yes, very reminiscent of that moment in "Barrayar".

Donald McEntee Young Gregor runs away into a forest as an act of young rebellion, Miles has to track him down, what story is that?

message 4: by Steven (new)

Steven Sarafian No, no, no. Several books are being conflated here. The original question refers to the novel Barrayar, in which the child Gregor is told by Cordelia: “'Never put strange things in your mouth till they've been cleared by the lab. In fact, avoid touching your eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes.'
Gregor, unconsciously compelled, promptly rubbed his nose and eyes." This occurs in the woods.
You seem to be thinking of the adult (although still young) Gregor absenting himself from his duties in The Vor Game, and being rescued by Miles. This occurs in space aboard various ships and stations.

Margaret Billing Me too Talli Ruksas.
Desperately trying not to touch my face whilst I'm out.
So hard...
