es, I thought about the being spoiled. In a cheat sheet for identifying if your child is a sociopath, he fit a lot of criteria. I..E. used to having no consequence for behavior, using charm/being the youngest child to manipulate, etc. It could be that with the missing father a substitute spouse interdependency arose where he learned from his mother. It could be genes (? don't really know if this possible or grounded).
But whatever it was, the author didn't make much of it Imo - I have (haha) normal friends with about as many indicators that aren't sociopaths.
