Frankie Apologies for the late answer, I hardly ever check this website aside from when I am updating my "books read" or "want to read" lists, so I didn't notice you had replied.
I asked six days ago according to the website, so no, I didn't ask it back in 2010 ;P
But to more serious notes, really, thanks a lot for taking your time to answer my question so thoroughly!
It's usually hard to find people willing to take their time to answer thoroughly these days, so it was a pleasure getting to read your comment.
As for the books, though, given that I mainly read fantasy books with an air of magic and some supernatural elements and special abilities, etc., I think I'm gonna pass on these books for now.
Though the (SPOILER?) tidbit makes me want to give the book series a go in the future, so it's going on my "want to read" list for future reading.
I'm not a big fan of books that are close to the real world regarding adventures and combat or struggles and troubles, etc. But any book series where the characters develop and grow along with the books, is in my mind, worth giving a shot at the very least.
Thanks again for having answered me so thoroughly! :)
