No way! I remember that same book cover from a Poe book in my school library. Very spooky. Most book covers today (unlike yours or Mike Duran's-very cool) fail to capture that surreal dimension that attracts me to the horror genre. I loved Schwartz's ghost stories as a kid. Not so much now.
My mom kept pushing Nancy Drew mysteries on me, but I liked the Hardy Boys better. Also loved the Black Stallion books. The best horse book series by far.
