I really enjoyed the series. It was a great read.
I really, really enjoyed it. I don't read any steampunk but am glad I made the exception here. It was fun.
Soulless is more romance heavy than the rest of its series which has a more adventurey tone like the Finishing School series. I fell in love with the series pretty much instantly. Some of the smaller side characters from FS get to be in the story more and they are all great. If you liked the world, definitely check it out. Then when you're done, you can jump on the Prudence train.
Stop whatever you are doing and read Soulless and the entire Parasol Protectorate series. You won't be disappointed! If you like audio books, the series is very well produced; I've listened to it at least 3 times.
PS: I named my first born Persephone. :)
I've had to replace at least one print copy of Soulless because I have reread it so many times and I Purchased the series on eBook so I could read it if I couldn't get to a print copy. I would say that I quite enjoy the Soulless Series.
I love both series and how you made the have a connection. will you make another novel featuring sophronia and soap.
Yes!! Soulless, book 1 in the Parasol Protectorate series, had me hooting and guffawing with laughter from the first ten pages over main F character Alexia's encounter with a vampire. Sparkling, super entertaining writing, some of my favorite characters ever. Read them in order to follow along. This was my first steampunk and Gail Carriger made me a big fan. :-)
p.s. Bonus enthusiasm for a strong, smart, witty & capable Victorian Era female who knows her own mind and does not require a fainting couch.
having read the visual novel l had to acquire the rest of the series, and it was well worth it imho..
it was so enjoyable l also purchased the associated Custard Protocol series, looking forward to reading Imprudence.
I'm going to be perfectly honest. I loved it right away but the couple of people I've had read it didn't care for it at first. They found it difficult and slow ( whaaat, I don't get it either ) but I told them to push on and in the end they loved it.
