I agree with you. Definitely a great read for those who appreciate reading and understanding why the author wrote it in the way she did. Some say it's wordy but I think it gives you the lengthy description so that you can really get an understanding of the plot, characters and the lessons along the way. Haven't seen the movie - I wonder how close it is to the book.
