I've been reading your books and following you as a fan for years. When I first started reading your books I was newly 13 (a bit after Pushing The Limits released) and your books were definitely appropriate and extremely enjoyable for me, especially compared to other books that I read supposedly for middle schoolers. Of course I agree that every child is different, and that a parent would know their child best. I do, however, want to say that most parents are probably unaware of the content their children read, which is soften graphic and inappropriate in this day and age. Your books though, have always, in my honest opinion, been written in a way that I believe has a positive effect on younger readers. Personally, that was my experience and I'm extremely grateful for the insight into healthy relationships and dealing with the scars we all carry around that each and every one of your books has taught me. Of course, I don't have kids, nor do I plan to soon, but when I do I would definitely suggest your books to them. As soon as they wanted to read them, I'd let them. Hopefully they'd be able to gain a better perspective in a society I've found to tactlessly handle important youth issues.
