No, Kati I do not think there are spoilers just shadings of characters not seen yet or at all in the FS series.
I read the Parasol Protectorate books first (since they were written first) and have still enjoyed the Finishing School series thus far. Assuming that the final book isn't a big departure from what's been done already, the stories are separate enough that going ahead with the other series shouldn't be a problem.
I have read the first three books of Parasol Protectorate after reading Finishing School, and I found it quite enjoyable that way! I can't speak for the books beyond what I've already read, though.
Thank you so much for answering my question! And yes, that makes perfect sense. That's sort of the gist I was getting from other comments and questions, but I wasn't quite sure. I think I'll hold off just in case! Can't wait to read them all :)
