Not at all! I didn’t mean to pressure you. I’m just glad it’s still in the works. 😊
No, I didn't feel like you were pressuring me at all. I've just been busy with a lot of different things (mostly BJD related) and all of them eat my time. One of those BJD things is that I want to re-do the markings on Tyh's arm in doll form and I need to figure out how best to do that. my painting skills are ok but not quite up to my standards for my dolls. Having the right design is important to me for the photos I'd like to use for the covers.
It's all about the details for me. What he has currently is serviceable but I don't want serviceable; I want correct as I've envisioned it in the story. This is my curse as a perfectionist. Tohan, Tyh's brother and one of the mains in Escape Velocity, has a serviceable face-up but again, I want more than that for his doll form. If timing and funds work out, I should be able to get that fixed in the next 6 months depending also on the availability of the artist.
Sorry... my dolls, which are all characters from my novels, are an instant gush button for me.
And I love that they are! I'm thrilled whenever someone shares with me what makes them light up and I appreciate how much you value them. So gush all you like. :)
You know not what you have given permission for, lol. At the moment I'm pretty chuffed with myself as I've just finished making a ventilated wig for Illarion. Venting a wig is when you knot 2-4 strands of hair at a time onto a special lace wig cap. It's very. very time consuming. Illarion's head is barely 2" in circumference and it still took me about 20-25 hours to do it. Granted, it's the first time I've made a vented wig so I'm much slower than someone who does it regularly but still. It's not perfect being a first effort but I'd say it's pretty damn good for a first effort.
