Why is it like that? Why does one sibling get to watch another sibling get beat on a regular basis, all the while waiting for their own that never comes. I wasn't the one that was waiting. And sometimes the beatings would last till came back up. Beating a kid of course is hard work. No one would ever expect anyone to beat a child consistently with no breaks from sundown to up. He would get worked up, rush into the room with his chest puffed out storming, kick spit slap kick kick spit scream. He make sure to remind me the rhetoric that I should be memorizing for this latest re-education. Then he would go back to his room, often going silent with no sound emotion for upwards of an hour. However, unless the sun was actually coming up, I knew better than to find comfort or seek sleep until after The light came back. It was never any fun to wait for him and watch him return mission oriented. It was definitely not fun to be reawoken to the same. I don't know why it made it exponentially more terrifying to think that you can take a nap in between your discipline. Better to just stay up stay focused make it through. How many of these have we done so far? Who knows. Made it through the last one. Going to make it through this one too, and there's nothing you can do about it. I'm just annoying like that. Ever since I showed up, I've proven that I will never go away. I'm like a tick or a cockroach. Every time that you see me, you know that that is already set me up for a thousand more times when you won't.
