Wow! That's your dissertation! "The Street Was Mine" I didn't think one could sell a dissertation, but why not. You've certainly published plenty to show that it wasn't a "one off." I finished the Turnout this fall and it was engaging, a lot to think about. It was unbalancing for me as a dancer; some of the themes felt like they were playing to the stereotypical Black Swan stuff, although I never took ballet as a kid and just because *I* didn't encounter something, that doesn't mean it never happened to someone else. The best compliment I can give you is that while I listened to the audiobook (good narration; very important for the audiobook), I would definitely read it again and will purchase it when it comes out in paperback. You pulled off something not often, if ever, done: you wrote a ballet noir.
