Kaycee Zack I'm reading this now, and the same thought about the 1st cousin crossed my mind as well. It was the way they were brought up, so I have to ask. . . was he really that big of a monster as she had made him out to be? Granted what he did was wrong, and there are no excuses for his behavior. . .I am just wondering why it is that she can not look upon him with some compassion and slight understanding? Perhaps that is what is needed in order to move on and forgive? I dunno. Still have a few chapters left to read.

Brooke I felt the same way about the reader's voice. So fake.

message 3: by Cortney (new)

Cortney It feels like i should have more compassion for the situation. I was looking forward to this book for so long and then found myself screaming for the end.

message 4: by Sara (new)

Sara Yes, the audiobook narrator's voice is awful!
