Katy Do you realize that there is no actual mention of "end of the world" in the Mayan calendar, right? that it's just a change to a new time period? And also, there have been 514 Leap years since the concept was created - without those extra days every 4 years, it would currently be well within the year 2013; since the Mayan calendar didn't account for leap years, if it really meant the world ending, that would have happened close to a year ago. You knew that, right? You're just being a bit silly with your review, right? So, be of good cheer - the world will still be here to enjoy this book.

Jessica (Goldenfurpro) Yeah, I'm joking about the end of the world thing XD
It's just a joke a say whenever a book comes out in 2013

Tammie I agree with you about the cover. I hate the new ones. That one that you found online with the stars would have been perfect. Maybe I'll print it out and paste it over the new one!

Kana I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels a little let down by the cover..... although I get it, the first one was in the middle of space, the second dealt with the spaceship...the last one is on planet, but still it feels...I dunno. It doesn't fit. :/

*crosses fingers*

Mig Nope, it's really the final one.
Unless they change their decisions... which i hope will happen!

message 10: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie I am so glad to not be the only one who really dislikes this cover! I thought I was just being nit-picky. The first two were so awesome though! This cover just doesn't compare at all.

message 11: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer The cover is actually prettier in person. I have not seen the first two books new covers (online they don't look that great). But the cover for Shades of Earth surprised me. In person the textures are really nice. The title is raised. And the green leaves are shiny. Definitely much nicer in person.
