I think that Tris could survive the serums because she had reached another level of knowledge about herself. She knew her mind and body and motivations inside and out and that is what allowed her to pull out of all the serums. Her innate ability to observe and feel what was slightly artificial about the serums and the induced feelings allowed her to reject what was happening to her. I think all the practice she had during her initiation into Dauntless prepared her to manipulate all the serums she was later subjected to.
@Elektra Heart. She is genitecally pure and can resist things other GD's cannot. She resists it in her genes.
