I've learned a new "trick". If you break down the entire project into smaller pieces and commit to writing every day, it is amazing just how easy a novel seems. For example if you just write 3 pages a day, you have your 300 page novel done in three months. I can write at least six pages a day so that means finish in just over two months! I know it sounds stupid easy but breaking the work down really helps. "The jug fills drop by drop."
Scrivener is great for that, too. Learning to write in that program...
