Kristjan One of the most common problems with organ transplants is rejection. It is not enough to match the blood type (although that is necessary), you also need a good match of the antibodies present. The only way to get a perfect match (no problem of rejection) is if it comes from yourself or your identical twin (or multiplet).

But for the reasons you mention, this does not fit the story at all. There would have to be so many organ donors available, and some donors might never be needed. So I think it's clear that the donated organs are not only to be used for the original DNA donors. It's been a while since I read the book, so I don't remember if transplant rejection and use of immunosuppressants are discussed in the story at all.
