Sampark Sharma That's the point. I didn't pick it up expecting anything from it. I was open to anything and everything. I don't have a problem with linear plots, especially if the characters can keep it going. However, Gaiman did a poor job of not only developing good characters, but also explaining some of his major plot points. I don't think he nailed a child's perspective too. Various things are always playing into a child's mind, and he adapts to his surrounding and to what he sees. In ways more than one, a child's psyche is much like that of an adult. Neil Gaiman made us saw the events from a child's perspective, I agree on that. But did he actually aptly write a story about the emotions of a child and what all plays into it?
Anyways, most people seem to like it for some reason. And I never called it a failure, all I said was that it was flawed at the grassroot level. But as they say, to each their own.
