I just found a book I read a little after reading TFIOS and I read it just as quickly and LOVED it. It's called Anywhere But Here by Tanya Llyod Kyi. It's YA and standalone. Often I heard criticism that Gus and Hazel don't sound or act like teens, which I can agree on but I like the way they speak in the book. However Anywhere But Here is amazing because it is teenager all over. The voice, the setting, the events and sticky situations. It was one of the best books I read this year and published in 2013.
