Katie Owens Definitely Junie B. Jones. They were some of the first books I learned to read and my mom and I used to read them together. Junie B. Jones and the Stupid Smelly Bus


Elaine Cook Reading some of these posts reminded me of my first "audio" stories which were LP records we practically wore out. One was about a gold prospector which had a couple of endings, depending on what groove the needle fell in. Another was called Kankie and the Concertina, a story I remember to this day!

Mina Macfarlane It might have been one of the color (Blue/Green) Fairy Books, but I was in school by then The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins by Dr, Seuss, is one of the first I remember. But walking by the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore every day and stopping in the Children's Room after school… that did it.
