Reiki: Universal Life Energy

Rate this book
While the roots of Reiki reach far back into the ancient origins of natural healing, the method presented here has been rediscovered in modern times and is now well on the way to becoming a widely practiced form of folk medicine. More and more practitioners, therapists and healers are making Reiki part of their therapeutic program, or are practicing this method exclusively; but above all, Reiki is being used by more and more nonprofessionals as a most effective means of promoting health and well-being.

No one can claim a monolply on Reiki, because Reiki is described as the energy which formed the basis of all life. With the help of specific methods, anyone can learn to awaken and activate this universal life energy so that healing and harmonizing energy flows thorugh the hands. Reiki is healing energy in the truest sense of the word, leading to greater individual harmony and attunement to the basic forces of the universe.

The authors describe their experience in treating their patients and also with animals and plants. They give an account of the origin and history of Reiki - independent of the individual schools existing - and explains how Reiki acts, how it can be learned, and its various uses, while providing a wealth of useful hints and instructions on the practice of Reiki.

I have very little to add to this classic: all reiki practitioners should probably read it.

it had started an awakening process in me, to read it 14 years ago... but now i have grown and changed and expanded, and a lot that is said is just... outdated in my experience. like a lot of books covering spiritual themes, the reader has to be on a certain level, not below and not farther. I use this book every single day in my practice - I find it very informative and easy to read. I especially love the disease and illnesses in the back and probable causes. 10/10 💕💕

Extremely uninformative. Especially considering its length and number of chapters. To what you really want to know - what you thought you would read about - a couple of pages are given over to telling you to seek a reiki course if you actually want to know anything! That's it.

Basically, roughly 200 page book and it just tells you to find an actual teacher to learn reiki. The rest is filled with blatantly obvious tidbits - law of attraction sort of dogmas - often repeated.

Waste of time. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

Haven't read much in this, but it's highly recommended by my Reiki Teacher. Probably not too interesting to "non-Reiki" people.

It's on my recommended reading list for Reiki students.
