By now I've gotten used to the antiquated style. The Symposium was definitely something else.

Inzwischen habe ich mich an den sperrigen Stil der Übertragungen gewöhnt und kam ganz gut zurecht, auch wenn ich nicht ganz so viel Zeit hatte, mich auf die Texte einzulassen, von denen aber sich einige eher weniger nützlich anfühlten und mehr wie eine Wiederholung des Vorangegangenen. Anders aber das Symposion, das wirklich reichhaltig war an Personal und an wimmeligen Theorien und Anekdoten. Das machte dann auch Spaß beim Lesen.

My first read through Plato's Politeia. Wanted to do this since my adolescence. Was very enjoyable. I liked the mix of useful thoughts for our modern days and the mystics that are still part of Plato's thought. Good threshold and in general an important work.

Ich habe aus diesem Band nur Symposion gelesen und fand es zwar wirklich anstrengend zu lesen, aber gleichzeitig hat es das Nachdenken auch sehr angeregt (Philosophie halt lol)
