So after book1 I gave up on the series, but I was convinced to give DHA another go.

Lucky I did. It gets three star because I didn't really get into the book until the last half, and I had a few issues with some of the characterisation. It's definitely a better book and really hits its stride about the last 3 or 4 chapters.
Herod is a delightful side character.

The audio is about the same as book 1 but it worked for a few characters and the last half is narrated well.
All in all, I shall await
