This was an interesting take on what must be a larger, longer story in Quincy's Woman. First person isn't my favorite reading style, but I believe Ms. Sivad captured Lucy's mind and perspective very well and gave a clear look into a young woman's experience of being a new wife and new lover. It was a great set up for Quincy's Woman and Perfect Strangers, the sequels to this story.

This Journal interested me, I have now ordered the book. I hope it lives up to the expectations I have for it. Sounds like a wonderful story of a young girl having been moved by her father to Iexas from Boston. She doesn't want to be in Texas but after the loss of her father, she is married to the rancher whom her father was doing business with. It is a story of her life and how she handles things thoughout it.

This story gives some understanding to the type of woman the heroine is in the first book before she disappears.

Short story introducing Lucy and Ambrose. It was enough to get me interested in the rest of the story. I will be continuing the series.
