Sound advice for parents whose kids have trouble concentrating According to the National Institutes of Health, an estimated five to ten percent of children suffer from Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This book provides answers for parents of children who may have either condition, as well as for adult sufferers. Written in a friendly, easy-to-understand style, it helps people recognize and understand ADD and ADHD symptoms and offers an authoritative, balanced overview of both drug and non-drug therapies.

ADHD medication, Basically it is a dopamine boost like cocaine.
Models also use Ritalin and Concerta to help them lose weight, it elevates heart rate the same cocaine does and it can speed up metabolic rates.

Basically, ADHD is a chemical imbalance and weirdly it is an imbalance with the dopamine transmitters but funnily enough, a mass overload of dopamine can crash and completely freeze the influx of dopamine.

It basically has the opposite effect.

Dopamine is the brain chemical that causes impulsive behavior and risk-taking.
But in People suffering From ADHD, a massive amount of dopamine crashes the system and has the opposite effect.

Anybody without ADHD taking the medication will suffer symptoms similar to cocaine, but in ADHD Clients the effect is the opposite.

It gives focus and attention, Students buy it online to help them study.

But as for ADHD, You have a deep sense of empathy for people and situations. You are sensitive to stimuli and feelings. You can read people.

It's a gift, not a disability.

They do not see life as linear, in other words, they can daydream sometimes and because of the chemical imbalance, the brain can bridge things together.

With that brings a few advantages, people suffering from ADHD have an instinct to interpret emotions or feelings and have empathy towards situations. They have also got the advantage of being able to find things that would not be easy to find.

Good for understanding basic information, however very tailored to the US, so not all info was applicable. A good starting point, but not a lot of in depth information on certain topics.
