Me gusta mucho esta autora. Tuve que leerla cuando chica para el colegio y ahora me tocó leerla de grande como profesora de un colegio. Las dos veces me gustó aunque de distinta manera. Toca temas fuertes sin endulzarlos, sabe hacer intriga, describe de maneras simples cosas importantes, encuentra la belleza en detalles y también el dolor, blablabla. Este libro clasificado para adolescentes, muestra a un chica (Fredrika) que enfrenta una crisis de identidad y cierta rebelión hacia la autoridad. Ella busca definir su personalidad y encontrarse a si misma, tratando de imitar a los demás, sin darse cuenta que otra chica (Britt) busca lo mismo a través de ella. Fredrika ayuda a Britt sin percatarse que por ese medio descubriría cosas que desconocía de si misma.

Me he retado a mi misma a releer algunos de los libros que en mi infancia me fascinaron, para comprobar si ahora, pasados los años, me resultan igual de interesantes. De María Gripe tengo varios esperando, este es uno de ellos y he de decir que aunque me ha gustado mucho, el mensaje de "encontrarse a uno mismo" se ve diferente veinte años después. Gran libro, especialmente para adolescentes.
