Although Whispers from the Mirror is fiction, in life, tribulations over a long period of time are no small matter. Belle Deville is a Civil Rights lawyer, news commentator and single mother. She puts her career ahead of raising her daughter. Yet, she preaches independence, strength, and distrust of men. Brianna feels both parents have abandoned her. The love and faith she places in her mother prevents her from addressing issues. For instance, who is her father and why won't her mother talk about him? She buries hurt in the back of her mind and hides behind a mask of feminism well into her forties. Rape adds to her anguish and reinforces her mistrust of men. 

How do you love Brianna Deville? She is a fighter for women's rights. Her wall of defense is higher than the Great Wall of China.

Guardian Angel

Brianna Deville is the daughter of Belle Deville, a lawyer who fought against sex discrimination and for civil liberties. Brianna is quickly following in her mother's footsteps. Because of Belle's influence, Brianna is very guarded as far as her heart is concerned and doesn't trust men. Although Brianna has her share of men in her life, are they there to stay? When Brianna opens up a little, the "Mirror-Lady" appears and brings her back to earth. Will Brianna find the right man or will she end up alone like her mother?

In "Whispers from the Mirror," Minnie Miller writes a story that will keep readers engrossed throughout the whole book. I look forward to her next book.
