Rav Shalom Arush is an Israeli Breslov rabbi and founder of the Chut Shel Chessed Institutions. He spreads the teachings of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov among Sephardic and Ashkenazic baalei teshuva, as well as many non-Jews, around the world through his books and speaking appearances.

These books are so unique in their approach to marriage that you can't help but admire the techniques and insight. One of the most powerful points is that the man can't read the woman's version and woman can't read the mans, all the more impressing upon each spouse to not judge the other and to stay focused on themselves and making themselves who they need to be before G-D and their spouse.

This book was a mixed bag for me (2 and a half stars). On the one hand I felt that I was learning a great deal of Torah and that there was a lot of wisdom in here on a simple level. I loved how the book was dedicated to the author's mother, that was very sweet.

However, I felt that the book would have been much better if written by a woman. I also felt that the first section on dating left something to be desired. The book also could have been organized better into subchapters as some chapters could have been grouped together for easier reading. There were also many typos which really should have been caught by the editor before this book went to press. Lastly, some of the advice I did not agree with, for example, I think women should have girlfriends (women need a support system as much as men do. We need to be around women our own age once in a while. I think that's just healthy).

Overall though, not a bad read but if I had to suggest a book to read by this author it would be "The Garden of Emuna".

Beautiful book that every jewish women should read. I learned so many amazing things from this book and it is one those books that you need to read more than once to really have the information fresh in your soul. So thankful to have found this book 4 months after our wedding.

Wonderful for every Jewish woman to have from match making/finding a husband to raising her kids. Beautiful book :) I gave it 3 stars because a lot of the content was geared toward building faith and fixing problems within a marriage. While both are great, there were multiple sections I skipped over because they just didn't apply to me. I also felt there was some redundancy. Also there quite a few typos as well. I agree with others that some of the advice could have been better if written by a women.

Please do not read this book, it is very damaging
"divorce is not a viable option to solving marital problems"
"its obvious that every wife should do the utmost to avoid divorce, even if it necessitates a lot of compromise on her part"

Sorry, what! Please don't read this book if you are looking for marriage guidance.
