'The Inner Ring' is really a 2-star book, but I'm giving it an extra star simply because it is clear the author wrote it from his heart (no one except a few superstars earns money from a boxing book) and because it also seems clear that the author did not write the book simply to piggyback on his minor fame from being Mike Tyson's chauffeur and bodyguard. I would not recommend it unless you are an ardent boxing fan and ardent Mike Tyson fan.
When I first started to read this book I thought it started off a little boring, but then after I started to get deep into the book i started to think it was really good. I say this because it started off talking about his personal life and how far he came. What I found most interesting is the fact that he became a heavy weight world champion at the young age of 18 years old. Im 18 and i dont think i could ever do something like that at this age. Over all i thought this book was really good and i would love to read it again!
