3/5⭐
“Como amante imaginario, él era uno de cinco estrellas. Una pena. ¿Por qué no había hombres así en el mundo real?”
Vi en Pinterest ésta portada y decidí leerla. Hacía mucho tiempo que no leía un Harlequin, clásico sello de la romántica, en este caso es " Deseo, hot".
😁😁 Si yo fuese Sophie Buchanan me sepultó viva😂 Es una historia de secretaria y jefe que leí de un tirón. Ambos personajes me gustaron.
Entretenida.

Her Not So Secret Diary by Anne Oliver is a quick, fast-paced and fun read. I enjoyed reading it. It was really surprisingly good and hot for a Riva.
Sophie Buchanan works as a temp, and she keeps a dream journal as her way of coping with a traumatic and abusive past. And due to tiredness, she accidentally sent her erotic dream to her temporary boss Jared Sanderson. She was beyond embarrassed. It was like a nightmare come to life.
Jared Sanderson knew that she sent it by mistake, but he can’t help being turned on after reading Sophie’s fantasies. And he can’t wait to make all her fantasy into reality.
It was actually funny when she accidentally sent it. I was actually thinking about what she’s gonna do about that. Will she talk to him about it? Pretend as if that’s never happening? Or will she resign from her temporary job?
My,my,my… I give credit to Sophie for actually showing up to work. And you can definitely feel the chemistry between them.
And as for Jared, I can’t help but fall in love with him. He has redeeming and attractive qualities that I always look for in a hero. He’s an Alpha Male – strong, independent, sensitive, and tough on the outside but soft, all about family and commitments on the inside. He immediately realized his feelings for her.
And for the sex. All I can say that it was so amazingly HOT and SWEET at the same time.
If you’re looking for a sweet and hot read, this one’s for you.

HER NOT-SO-SECRET DIARY didn’t have the strong characters that I was hoping for after reading the back blog.
There was no previous tension between Jared Sanderson and Sophie Buchanan before her dream diary entry got emailed to him. In fact, Sophie was just filling in for her friend and Jared’s personal assistant while she was sick. Late one night she accidentally emailed the sexual dream diary entry that she had written. She didn’t even truly know what he looked like or that he was the star in her dream until she got caught in his office the next day.
Moving on from that buff with the story, my next one is with how the characters handled themselves after it was known they both knew about the entry. Neither one of them truly acted like they wanted to re-enact the dream out. Sure they eventually did, but it wasn’t the tear each other clothes off marathon that I was expecting.
Maybe it was their backgrounds that kept them reserved. Jared raised his two younger sisters from the early age of 18. Family is extremely important to him, although he’s enjoying his bachelor days now that his sisters are older, settling down and having a family is in the further for him. Sophie on the other had has not only had a bad marriage filled with disappointment, but has to continually deal with the emotional distraught of the news that she can’t have children and that her husband continuously cheated on her, resulting in kids, because of her infertility.
They go into a working agreement. Her PA fill in goes on longer than planned, so during work hours it’s all business, but when it comes to dark, their passion goes wild. They both believe it’s the perfect deal. She’s leaving in weeks to travel and with her blunt aversion to his new niece, Jared knows there’s not future.
Yet soon, he’s finding himself distracted with thoughts on her and when her day to leave comes he’s about to make his spill when she blurts out her condition to stop him.
She doesn’t even give him time to react before she’s gone and seems to think he’s rejected her. I really had a hard time connecting with Sophie for other similar reasons.
Finally, he goes to her and they both spill their feelings. They talk through their wants and desires and find there is always hope.
Two years later, through IVF, they are happily expecting their first baby.

The heroine Sophie keeps a dream journal, something that helped her get past the trauma of an abusive past and divorce. She types up an erotic dream then accidentally sends it to her new boss. Jared is shocked and intrigued by Sophie's email, although he knows it was sent by mistake. Sophie is only a temporary worked and about to leave for a new life in England, so Jared makes it clear that he is open to the idea of a short term affair. Jared thinks all he wants is a fling, however the more he gets to know Sophie and himself, the more he realises he's ready for a family and commitment but Sophie is keeping secrets.
I really liked this book, yes the whole 'emailing secret fantasy to your boss' part is a bit of a cliché, but it is made great with well developed and complex characters and some emotional highs and lows. The characters went on a nice journey and this made very satisfying reading. The dialogue is really fresh, the relationship felt very real and the book is fast paced.

Her Not-So-Secret Diary is Anne Oliver’s tenth novel. Sophie Buchanan accidentally emails her dream diary (with a rather hot dream) to Jared Sanderson, a boss she is temping for. This cute little device sets the scene for each of them to consider the other as a bed-partner. Jared, hunky and sensitive, wants a wife and family. Sophie, divorced and with a deep secret, wants to escape to her Europe holiday. Plenty of sparks fly between this spirited Aussie pair before they realise they are made to be together.
The Prince’s Mistress, by Sandra Marton, is a bonus 40-page novella included in this volume. Prince Nicolas of Karas is at the end of his half year of anonymity in New York, before taking the throne of Karas, when he meets Chloe, a seemingly seducible society girl, in reality the daughter of a Calistan Sheikh. Instant attraction is followed in the usual manner, until Nicolas is led to believe Chloe is simply a gold-digger. A cute romance about very rich people.

My first ever Riva book and I was surprised how 'hot' it was. Not quite Blaze, but I think Riva is Modern Romance (I can't see on their website). Basically, there is sex, and it's not behind a closed door!
The story was nicely original, set in Australia, though sending your dream diary to your boss is a little contrived - but Sophie was tired so I'll let her off. But it's a nice idea that Jared then tries to please Sophie and her fantasies. He's one hot hero really ::sigh::
Jared has attractive qualities. Business shell (Alpha Male) on the outside, but firm family commitments on the inside. He's a hero that takes control, without controlling the heroine - if that makes sense?
This book provides some nice ups and downs emotionally, with a lovely romantic ending, too.

Omg this book is terrible! The diary part is over in two chapters then is pretty much never mentioned again. Its full of stupid and annoying metaphors and similies and such that made me want to stop reading. But the most annoying thing by far is the stupid 'I cant have kids' nonsense. Nonsense because she CAN have kids just not naturally. She is an idiot and I wanted to hit her everytime after the first very brief explaination.
Dont read it will drive you insane.

I really liked this one. Jared really was a dream hero. I was happy that he supported Sophie in her choices and didn't pressure her. The sex scenes were hot. There was just the right amount of angst. It was believable and not contrived. I wanted Jared and Sophie to have their HEA. I loved d the way the ending was handled.

finally, one of the new hp's i bought was readable! the accidental email was a really cute plot ploy and worked in this book; the characters were believable and likeable as well, and i enjoyed this book. didn't waste my money on this one like i did 4 others!

Sophie keeps a dream diary to help her work thru some of her issues. Finding out she has accidently sent her fantasy to her new temporary boss, throws her for a spin. Jared decides to play along, and help make sophie's dreams come true.

Great mix of chemistry and angst – I thought Sophie's infertility angst was dangerously on the verge of being contrived, but I'm glad to say it was handled pretty well by the end. Jared (I'm starting to see this name a bit too often now) was an irresistible hero. Too irresistible, rather.

Nice read. Interesting story surrounding a woman's fantasy (written in her dream diary) coming true.

Loved it...there was strife and conflict of course, but not in a way that you disliked either character. LOVED both Sophie and Jared. :)
