This was actually a very, very good book, perhaps one of the best I have read so far this year. It was full of a variety of martial arts styles and philosophical viewpoints, and though many of the essays didn’t go very deeply into philosophy they were still well-written and interesting. Some of the highlights of the book were the essays on “epistemic viciousness” and Nietzsche’s Apollonian and Dionysian beauty, among others.
