The Bible for Little Ones

Rate this book
From Creation to Pentecost, the main stories from the Old and New Testaments are lovingly told and illustrated for very young children. All the important characters are brought to life in engaging four-color Adam and Eve, Abraham and Sarah, Moses and David, Mary and Joseph, Jesus and his apostles. The hard, childproof pages with rounded corners make this a perfect first Bible for little ones.

We have a few children's Bibles, and, for our age range right now (2 y.o.), I think this is my favorite. The vivid illustrations capture my daughter's attention without being too cartoony, and each story is well-told in a succinct, child-friendly manner. Roche's selection of Bible stories, while short compared to most other children's Bibles I've seen, does cover each of God's covenants with Man, from the Garden of Eden to Pentecost. Salvation history in a board book? Sounds good to me.
