I've read this book several times. And it never ceases to move me to my core. She writes such beautiful simple prose and can bring you to your knees in one short sentence. An incredible look at animals and their lives that we don't often take time to observe. ...more

I liked the book. Her writing gets a bit rambly at times, and I have a hard time with the idea of keeping wild animals as pets, but overall a good read, especially for animal lovers old and young.
