Excellent peek into what being a rock star entails, and the basis on how they formed the Eagles

I've read a lot of biographies of the Eagles but this is way up among the best. It is not simply a conglomeration/rehash of the same old stories but has a good quanitity of quotes and anecdotes that I haven't seen anywhere else before.
The only minor disappointments were the small number of photos, although, again, most of what there were are new to me. The other slight gripe was the lack of referencing, it isn;t always possible to guess who said what - but maybe that was the whole point!
Highly recommended

Being a huge Eagles fan this was a brilliant insight into every member of the band especially Don Henley and Glenn Frey. The duo’s strengths and weaknesses and their long lasting friendship is just brilliant. The stories behind some of their classic hits, the highs and lows they faced and ultimately the big reunion is so well written. A very good biography on one of the biggest rock groups in the history of music. A must read if you’re an Eagles or a rock n roll fan.
